RESOLUTION

RS2026-2135

Passed

Nashville and the Convention Center Authority are entering a new intergovernmental agreement to refinance the Music City Center's original construction bonds without Metro's credit backing, which frees up Metro's borrowing capacity for other needs like affordable housing. The deal also lets the Convention Center Authority issue a separate set of bonds to fund a Music City Center expansion, with those bonds maturing by the end of 2028. Additionally, the agreement allows the Convention Center Authority to transfer up to $300 million to the East Bank Development Authority for roads, utilities, and other public infrastructure on the East Bank.
