Metropolitan Council

Approving a Lease Agreement by and between Metro acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Education and LEAD Public Schools, Inc. d/b/a Cameron College Prep, Nonprofit LLC (Proposal No. 2021M-011PR-002).

Authorizing Metro to abandon existing sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, and to accept new public sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer force main, sanitary sewer manholes and easements, for two properties located at 3545 and 3551 Dickerson Pike, also known as Dickerson Flats (MWS Project No. 22-SL-139 and Proposal No. 2023M-173ES-001).

Amending section 15.64.035 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws.

To amend Section 6.28.030, Section 13.12.110, and Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of Metro relative to the creation of the “residential scale multi-family” residential use, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2024Z-007TX-001).

To amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of Metro, to add the two-family use as a conditionally permitted use to the RS and RS-A zoning districts and amend the conditions for the two-family use in the AG, AR2A, R, and R-A zoning districts, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2024Z-006TX-001).

To amend Section 16.08.012 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws to amend adopted building codes to allow for certain residential buildings up to six stories to be served by a single exit stairway.

Approving an application for a 2024 Road to Zero Community Traffic Safety grant from the National Safety Council to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT), to end fatalities on our roads by 2050.

Requesting the Metropolitan Planning Department and the Metropolitan Department of Codes and Building Safety to create a pattern book for medium-density housing, as further described herein.

Approving an application for a U.S. DOT Intersection Safety Challenge grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT), to ensure optimal safety at critical intersections by updating safety software to analyze and predict traffic patterns.

Authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claims of Kimberly Jones-Mbuyi against Metro in the amount of $250,000.00, with said amount to be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
