Metropolitan Council

To be entitled: The Budget Ordinance of Metro, Tennessee for Fiscal Year 2026.

Establishing the tax levy in the General Services District for the fiscal year 2025-2026, and declaring the amount required for the annual operating budget of the Urban Services District, pursuant to section 6.07 of the Metropolitan Charter.

To amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of Metro, by changing from IWD and RS7.5 to SP zoning for various properties along Dickerson Pike, Lemuel Road, Jones Street and Locust Street, approximately 343 feet south of Kennith Drive (106.9 acres), to permit a mixed use development, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2025SP-008-001).

To approve a First Amendment to three grant contracts for constructing affordable housing between Metro, acting by and through the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission, and certain non-profit organizations.

Creating the positions of Assistant Grants and Accountability Officer, Fire Deputy Director Chief, Grants and Accountability Officer, Investments Portfolio Manager, Short Term Rental Inspector 1, Traffic Management Center Manager, Traffic Management Center Operator 1, Traffic Management Center Operator 2, Traffic Management Center Supervisor, Urban Forestry Chief, Urban Forestry Inspector 1, Waste Services Superintendent, Water Field Technician Supervisor, Zoning Inspection Chief, Zoning Inspector 1, Zoning Inspector 2.

Accepting an in-kind grant from the Sister Cities of Nashville to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to fund a commissioned art mural on the exterior side wall of the Morgan Park Community Center including future maintenance costs.

Appropriating a total of $1,526,540.00 from the Nashville Public Library to various nonprofit organizations for the provision of free and high-quality afterschool and summer programming through the Library’s Nashville After Zone Alliance after school and out-of-school time coordinating system.

Approving amendment one to grant contracts with various nonprofit organizations for the provision of free and high-quality out-of-school programs through the Nashville After Zone Alliance.
